Asian Adventure 2025
This is definitely highlight of my travels in 2025. During more then 10 weeks I am going to visit 12 countries I haven’t been before. I will try to write at least one major post per country. And will try to support it with shorter real life stories worthy to be shared.
Singapore (9 hours)
Longer pitstop of the way from Europe over Thailand to Nepal. Here I’ve been hit by the so far worst feeling of high heat and temperature I will not forget until the end of my life. 🙂
Nepal (11 days)
One of the two main destination I wanted to visit since my childhood.
Primarily Hindu country, but with immense impact of Buddhism.
I’ve been staying most of the time in the lovely village of Nagarkot in the altitude of almost 2200 meters, then I moved to the small village of Sidhing in the altitude of 1945 meters. I’ve ended up my Nepal’s visit in the beautiful city of Pokhara with its scenic Phewa lake.
Bhutan (3 days)
Bhutan was the country number 1 on my wishlist. Its visit was positively extreme and enriching – intense three days in the altitude between 2200 and 3000 meters between Paro and Thimpu.
Primarily Buddhist country with significant Hindu minority.
Country of truly role model King, concept of Gross Domestic Happiness and one of the most hearth warming countries I’ve ever visited.
Most expensive four days of my life, but worthy life long unforgettable experience!
Thailand (16 days)
I slept there my first sleep in bed after arriving to Asia. It was hot and humid – so I was a bit nervous if I will survive more then 10 weeks in such conditions.
Then I spent 13 day in row in Chiang Mai to slow down my pace a bit. Such an unique time of continuous peace!
I will end up my Asian Adventure by two days in a busy and fast paced Bangkok.
Laos (7 days)
One of the most mysterious Buddhist countries in the region I know very little about coming in.
First two days I stayed in culturally rich Luang Prabang.
Then I’ve moved by China-Laos Train (LCR) for 2 days to the small city of Vang Vieng to see some beautiful mountain around.
At the end I have moved by LCR to the pulsing capital of Vientiane.
Cambodia (6 days)
The most Buddhist country of all of the countries I am visiting during this trip.
I am staying whole time in the city of Siem Reap with plan to primarily discover the UNESCO listed Angkor Wat.
